It all started when…
The world went on pause and many businesses didn’t know how to go on. FotoDelray was not an exception. With the quarantine rules, we were not able to continue with the photo shoots in our studio.
At some point, I went to visit Ellen Wynia at her NAN store to see how her business is doing. Turned out she was in the similar situation. Both Ellen and I aren’t the type who give up easily and I just threw it out there - what can we do together so we pivot this situation? And so the ideas started to float.
In NAN’s collection there are two beautiful dress models that are fitting perfectly different body shapes. The fabric is amazing - it is natural cotton with stretching base. The colors are just splendid and go with any skin color and style. You can wear them with dressy shoes on heels, white sneakers, or summer flip flops.
We wanted to make our clients happy and lift their spirit. We also wanted to help others.
That is how YOUR BEAUTY REVEALED dress campaign was born!
How does it all work?
Step One
Visit NAN either on the website www.nan.nl or at the new beautiful store in Rotterdam (Bergse Dorpsstraat 41-a, 3054 GA, Rotterdam) and get a personal consultation from Ellen while trying either of the dress models.
Step two
When you purchase the dress at a special price of €149, additional €49 are going towards a charitable organization based in Rotterdam - De Sportspullenbank. Founders Erna Truijens and Mirjam van Rijn, both very active as board members of the various sports clubs, are selflessly committed to collecting as much sportswear and sports equipment as possible for youth members of sports clubs in Rotterdam area. This initiative is now also being rolled out in several cities. We are very happy to support such cause. Sports should be accessible to everyone - good for your body, good for your mind.
Step Three
After choosing the dress that fits you perfectly, you are getting a very special gift voucher from FotoDelray (a total value of €350). With this voucher you receive a makeover (your makeup and hair will be done by a professional makeup artist). Make it a special girls day out with someone who is so significant in your life - your mom, daughter, sister, friend or partner. She will be treated to the same makeover as you!
You will get a private pre-photoshoot consultation during which I will get all the necessary information to design that special portrait experience for you. We will talk about what to wear (definitely bring your new fabulous dress from NAN), accessories, and shoes.
Your photo session will take place in our Rotterdam studio. It is a unique experience, where I create a special atmosphere of trust. Most of the women stepping into my studio don’t feel at ease in front of a camera. They think they are not beautiful enough, not young enough, not thin enough. After 10 years in business, I have yet to meet a woman who is not truly beautiful. I guide you through this experience and help you to overcome these feelings. Just breeze and follow my directions. It is almost therapeutic.
Have you ever seen a portrait of yourself on an art print*? It’s a feeling hard to describe and even harder to forget. After your portraits are edited in magazine style, you will be invited to the studio to discover your entire collection (around 25-30 portraits) and pick your favorites. Please note that prints and digital files are not included into the value of the gift voucher that you get with the dress purchase. You only buy what you love!
